"ANOTHER KID?!"

Chris Rock is one of the very few things that can keep you awake at 4.30am, pretty useful when you're driving back from Leicester - big thanks to the Mind the Gap crew for a real good rave, if you're in the Leic area check it out.

Anyway Chris put me in the mood for some proper heavy music, so here's some some baltimore hip hop for y'all:

F**king Hypocrit

Having just had a rant about baltimore club with cheesy samples, along comes one which is just incredible. Yes I'm a hypocrite. Yes I like making beans on toast then putting barbeque sauce on. It doesn't make me a bad person, it just means I like that tangy sweet flavour alongside tomato sauce; and occasionally listen to really really camp BMore:

Baile Funk House?

Wondering through London in the sunshine sometimes you forget that 90% of the people here would shank you for a Metro; your sandwich is good, the weather is good, you're playing a big night tonight and you've got nothing to do tomorrow except lie around and eat biscuits.

Soooooo here's a snippet track I picked up last night, my favourite house producer of the moment Oliver $ seems to have been chucked a load Baile Funk samples and come up with a nice rolling groove with little spasms of horns and portugese. Think Crookers if they chilled the f**k out. If you want the full it's up on beatport .

What's a spongebob?

Too many people in the UK spend their lives without seeing a spongebob, it's a dance. The best dance. I have NEVER seen anyone who is able to do this in the UK, so if you can - come down to the next Yo Mama! and throw it out on the dancefloor. Chances are pretty high I'll jump over the booth and offer you my flower:

Tiffany vs Gunshots

Baltimore Club has always been a tricky little f****r, for every person who gets the combination of hip hop, dance and just having a good time - there's always one who thinks it's all about sticking a sing sing break under an old 80's pop song.

Don't get me wrong, I love the BMore remix of Tiffany as much as the next man, everyone loves a scouser being forced against a lil john sample, But that whole thing has given BMore a bad name, and sometimes it's worth throwing in the odd real aggro minimal track into a BMore set and see if anyone really knows how to rock off. So far I just tend to get confused looks when I run out the booth and start cranking.

We found this on thetapeisnotsticky.com, hit em up for some more badman tunes
