Full of Turkey

It's cold, it's dark, and I'm full of dead bird. Clearly it's time for some Brazilian party music, yes that has no connection to my circumstances, but neither does your mum. Suck out.

DJ Sandrinho - Medley Funk Carioca

It's a 128 version, to get the real 320 deal head over to our favourite conveyer of Baile Funk and Baltimore Club clek clek boom!

Booty Christmas

anyone who says christmas sucks needs to get their head examined. A few days off, an excuse to eat as much as possible, and a whole ton of amazing parties to go to. WHATCHU TALKIN BOUT BOI?

And most importantly, it gives all the producers a license to be as dumb as they want!

I don't usually do this, but uh....

It's Sunday, Yo Mama was incredible, so let's play what if. What if, Quagmire from Family Guy fell in a blender with a Breakbeat. Voila.

Jingle Bells, jingle bells....

For those who don't know, some of the Yo Mama crew are also members of the almost impossibly massive Tomb Crew. They've recently been kind enough to put out a remix fo jingle bells for everyone to skank out to during the festive season, isn't that nice of them?

So get this tune on, dig out your Santa hat and we'll see you in Catch Bar on Saturday for the Xxxmas Yo Mama - mince pies, snow, everything you could possible want. Hype!!

BMore classics

Baltimore Club ain't exactly something new, it's been around since the early 90's, and sometimes, a little history is good to learn. So here's a real original classic from back in the day - definitely one all the BMore heads should have in their collection - check out the hip house influences on it, incredible!

The Blapps Posse - Don't Hold Back

While we're on classics, we only just saw this, the roots watching an awful awful video - man if you want to investigate and look up what they're watching feel free. But its real. It's definitely real.

What you mean you don't got this?

We hit up work it the other day, amazing night, incredible vibes and huge dollops of old school 90's hip hop and R&B - exactly the kind of thing we love at Yo Mama: Everyone was dancing, hyping, partying like you should! Anyways, put me in the mood for some old school business, been listening to a lot of Full Force, Lady of Rage, Onyx, Slick Rick, and of course, Fu Schnickens. I hope no one notices me posting this, but if you don't have it you need it in your life:

Oooh this is going to be a big one, there's been a few remixes of Daft Punk out and about before - including a real nice remix by Tittsworth - but this is just nuts. Cop it while you can!

BMore Time - Laidback Luke

Yo Mama looks real fat today

Vibes from previous Yo Mamas, don't miss the next one on the 13th of December!

Round Of Applause

Well done to Matchstick for this one, original sounding and fresh. Well, well done. Dancehall and Bmore go together like Peas and Carrots.

Cop this it's ill.

"ANOTHER KID?!"

Chris Rock is one of the very few things that can keep you awake at 4.30am, pretty useful when you're driving back from Leicester - big thanks to the Mind the Gap crew for a real good rave, if you're in the Leic area check it out.

Anyway Chris put me in the mood for some proper heavy music, so here's some some baltimore hip hop for y'all:

F**king Hypocrit

Having just had a rant about baltimore club with cheesy samples, along comes one which is just incredible. Yes I'm a hypocrite. Yes I like making beans on toast then putting barbeque sauce on. It doesn't make me a bad person, it just means I like that tangy sweet flavour alongside tomato sauce; and occasionally listen to really really camp BMore:

Baile Funk House?

Wondering through London in the sunshine sometimes you forget that 90% of the people here would shank you for a Metro; your sandwich is good, the weather is good, you're playing a big night tonight and you've got nothing to do tomorrow except lie around and eat biscuits.

Soooooo here's a snippet track I picked up last night, my favourite house producer of the moment Oliver $ seems to have been chucked a load Baile Funk samples and come up with a nice rolling groove with little spasms of horns and portugese. Think Crookers if they chilled the f**k out. If you want the full it's up on beatport .

What's a spongebob?

Too many people in the UK spend their lives without seeing a spongebob, it's a dance. The best dance. I have NEVER seen anyone who is able to do this in the UK, so if you can - come down to the next Yo Mama! and throw it out on the dancefloor. Chances are pretty high I'll jump over the booth and offer you my flower:

Tiffany vs Gunshots

Baltimore Club has always been a tricky little f****r, for every person who gets the combination of hip hop, dance and just having a good time - there's always one who thinks it's all about sticking a sing sing break under an old 80's pop song.

Don't get me wrong, I love the BMore remix of Tiffany as much as the next man, everyone loves a scouser being forced against a lil john sample, But that whole thing has given BMore a bad name, and sometimes it's worth throwing in the odd real aggro minimal track into a BMore set and see if anyone really knows how to rock off. So far I just tend to get confused looks when I run out the booth and start cranking.

We found this on thetapeisnotsticky.com, hit em up for some more badman tunes
